Many songs written about this amazing city & very deserving of each one! New York leaves an imprint on your soul & everyone should visit at least once. From the bright lights of Times Square to the coolness of the Meatpacking District, it is a city of many shades. We spent our first day drinking Bloody Mary’s & eating pancakes for breakfast (standard!) then a walk to the pier to board a water taxi, which took us down the Hudson River, past the Manhattan skyline & the Statue of Liberty, onwards to Brooklyn where we disembarked. A walk back to Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge, then up to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Very sobering but part of the heart of the city & something everyone should see. We continued our walk, up through Soho & Greenwich Village towards our hotel, then finished our day sipping Manhattan’s in the rooftop bar, overlooking the Empire State Building. New York is a city to do on foot if possible, don your trainers, explore & have adventures along the way.
