Florence

I love Italy, but Florence holds a special place in my heart.  From the awe-inspiring Michelangelo’s David, the Ponte Vecchio & the Cathedral of Santa Maria Fiore which dominates the skyline of the whole city, every corner you turn, there is something jaw dropping & beautiful to see.  Amazing shopping from high end boutiques to street markets selling fabulous Italian leather goods.  A highlight for us, was a visit to Botticelli room at the Uffizi Gallery, followed by a bottle of Chianti & nibbles at the rooftop bar, with amazing views over Florence.  A fabulous choice for a short break or combine as a twin centre with Pisa, Rome or perhaps the Amalfi Coast during the summer months.
